Thank You for Visiting the Bowdon Sertoma Club Website
Bowdon Sertoma is active in West Central Georgia meeting charitable needs, providing scholarships to deserving students, assisting with National Heritage information, Drug Awareness programs, Speech and Hearing programs and many other endeavors. Chartered in 1992, the club provides interesting programs, (and a meal), for its members and guests at monthly meetings, normally held on the second Thursday evening of each month. Membership is a cross section of men and women of all ages from the Bowdon area who wish to serve in ways that improve the quality of life in the area and beyond and have a good time doing it. The club's name is an acronym for "Service to Mankind" and is a part of a wonderful international network of like-minded folks.
Most of the funding for Bowdon Sertoma activities are raised through the Bowdon Sertoma Concert Series. For many years the club has presented top quality shows and concerts at Copeland Hall in Bowdon. National touring acts stop here for one of five events during the calendar year. The shows are supported by vital Sponsors and Season Ticket Patrons as well as the community-at-large. Currently we are in our tenth year of offering prime entertainment that benefits the area through Sertoma community projects. Please click on the "Concerts" heading above to learn more about the shows.
Bowdon Sertoma is always happy to have new members to join in the fun fellowship and worthwhile community service the club provides. The current club president, Jim Watts, (770-328-3838), will be happy to hear from you and give you more information about the club and what we do.We invite you to speak with him or any member of the club and please consider visiting with us at a meeting.
